Mama, I can’t fly!

So I’ve been extremely under the weather lately so pnut has been watching some of his favorite movies instead of playing outside. Well one of his favorite movies is Peter Pan. While I was in the bathroom taking care of my business, pnut walks in with his “sword” which is a popsicle stick and hops about the bathroom saying “Mama, I can’t fly! I want to fly like Peter Pan.” I tried to remember the movie from my childhood telling him that he needed “Pixie Dust” and if he believed he could fly then he could. Ha ha, Had to keep the story going. After several more failed attempts to fly, I changed the subject by asking who he was and who I was. He said I was tinkerbell and he was one of the lost boys. We had a small sword fight with a toothbrush and popsicle stick, all while I was still sitting on the “potty”….ROFL. A mother rarely gets two seconds to herself.

Bean loves Tupperware

So recently Beany has been very curious with what objects can do. So one day while I was cooking in the kitchen I gave him a few tupperware containers to play with. I then showed him how you can put things into the tupperware container and then take them out again. Oh how this rocked his little world. He spent the next hour or so placing things into the tupperware and then slinging it out onto the floor. He loves playing with tupperware now and even knows which cabinet to get his new toys out of.

Cuddle Time melts Moms Heart

Today the bean was so sweet. After waking from his nap, I went into his room and picked him up from his crib. He immediately laid his head on my shoulder. I looked at his face from over my shoulder in the mirror behind us and he had the biggest grin on his face as if to say “Awww, mama is here…I love her so much”.

Since the pnut was still napping we decided to go hang out in my room for a little while. There he continue to snuggle and cuddle with me. Truly snuggle time with your children has got to be the best thing in the world. Makes all those horrible, whining days a little more worth it. Don’t you think?

Look at Beany’s teeth!

Originally uploaded by lilblueyedmama

Well I finally got a picture of Beany’s pearly white teeth. Isn’t he cute. Today, I gave him a handful of cheerios to eat. He gobbled them all up. I can’t believe he is already 8 months old. Sheesh time flies.

I can barely keep an eye on him. He is pulling up to standing, crawling faster than lightning, and putting everything he can put his hands on in his mouth. His favorite thing to try to eat are leaves.
He loves his brother more than anything. If pnut is in the room forget about getting beany’s attention. All eyes are always on the pnut and what is big brother doing.

Can someone say Mr. Curious?

Teeth and Pulling Up All in the Same week

Bean has cut his bottom two teeth. He has been chewing and drooling on everything he can get his chubby little hands on. Then the other night he pulled up to standing on the coffee table. Now he pulls up on anything and everything resulting in a lot of bumped heads. Wow he is growing up so fast. I miss my tiny little baby that did nothing and acted more like a blob than a baby. Now the bean is into everything! Don’t turn away for more than two seconds because he will probably shove something into his mouth that wasn’t supposed to be eaten. Leaves are his favorite food right now. Click here to see a photo.

Pnut’s Third Birthday

I can’t believe pnut’s birthday has come and gone and that he is already three years old. My little boy isn’t so little any more. He had a blast at his birthday party because he actually knew what was going on. He kept saying to me throughout the day “Happy Burday, Mama, Happy Burday!” to which I would reply “Yes, pnut, Happy Birthday you are three years old today!”. He loved every minute of it. He especially loved that his two step brothers got to come to his party.

Toddlers 102 degree fever

Poor little pnut. Thursday he woke up with a 102°F fever. I felt so bad for him, he was completely miserable. It even hurt for me to snuggle up with him. Pnut hardly ever gets sick and when he does, boy does he milk it good…ha ha. He spent the majority of the time in mommy’s bed with elmo on repeat. That is what he wanted to watch and since he felt so bad I didn’t feel like arguing with him. I know that when I am sick all I want to do is sit in bed and watch my favorite shows and that is exactly what he did. He wouldn’t eat and barely would drink. I gave him a soothing bath and plenty of tylenol. By the next day the fever broke, thanfully. We were really worried about our little man.

Baby loves Daddy’s Hat

I caught the bean on video the other day playing with Daddy’s hat. He loves playing with hats for some reason. Check him out in all his cuteness.

Beans first taste of bananas!!

Here is the video that I shot tonight at supper time when I decided to see if bean was ready for baby food yet. We tried this a month ago and he wasn’t quite ready. I bought a couple of jars of food at the grocery store this week just to see if he was up to the challenge. We are starting on bananas. He loved them. He was attacking the spoon with each bite. He was even trying to help my hand by grabbing at the spoon and shoving it towards his face. HA HA.

Beans First Word

So the other day me, the kids, and our guests were all sitting in the office socializing. The bean was chilling in our friends lap [E.] when he all of a sudden got upset. In the middle of his upset state he screams “MOMMA!” just as plain as day. We all looked at each other and said “Did you just hear that?” I was so proud that my little four month old just shouted for his Momma.
